Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Anniversary

In 1988, 25 years after the presentation of the original 901, Porsche introduced a limited serie of Anniversary models based on the Carrera 3.2 This car is rare, beautiful but very similar to the stock Carrera 3.2 : there isn't any mechanical evolution, only few details that make the difference. To improve the good looking of the Carrera 3.2, all Anniversary models received a Metallic Diamond Blue paint and painted Fuchs rims in the same color. The car is originally fitted with 1975 turbo 3.0 rims : 7J x 15 front and 8J x 15 rear. Tyre sizes are 195/60 front and 215/60 rear. Some are fitted with 1989 equipment : 205/55 tyres on 7J x 16 wheels and 225/50 tyres on 8J x 16 wheels front and rear respectively.The rims are featuring painted center cap with coloured relief Porsche crest ( while it is inlaid and not painted on standard wheels).

The interior of the Anniversary models is more luxurious that any stock Carrera 3.2. Full leather on seats, door panels, heavy carpets... All that in Metallic Diamond Blue of course. The car is also fitted with shortened shifter that improve the shifting precision. A performant hi-fi installation is also proposed. But the higher distinction is the Ferry Porsche signature on the headrests of the seats. This is what made an Anniversary model a unique car. 876 exemplars of the 911 Anniversary model have been produced. The serie was equally distributed in Coupé, Cabriolet and Targa body. 576 cars were sold in Europe while the 300 others went to the United States.

As an end, the Carrera 3.2 is an elegant 911, beautiful and rare but very close to the Carrera 3.2. What a great feeling to drive a limited serie for just the price of a stock 911...
