On 20 September 1999, Kula Shaker was no more. The news that the band had split up, or rather, that Crispian had left to persue a solo career, was like a bombshell. Nobody could have seen this happening, but it had happened.
This site is in loving memory of the band that once was Kula Shaker and filled our hearts with their wonderful music....

I got to know the band in June, July '96 when their song 'Tattva' was such a success. This song blasted out of my radio and I loved it immediately. I remember seeing them for the first time on TV on TOTP with Tattva and for a minute I thought that Mark Hamill had stepped into a time machine, returned twenty years and had taken up his role as Luke Skywalker. But this time, he had left Yoda and Darth Vader behind and taken up guitar lessons to pursue a career in the music industry!!
Needless to say, I was in love with the band right away. Their debut 'K' is, in my opinion, one of the best debuts ever and to everyone out there who hasn't heard it yet...please, do so! Their second album was totally amazing and they showed that they had grown quite a bit musically. You can't afford to miss it. It would also be their last album together.
